Senior Sales Executive

We are searching for a person to generate new client relationships for the company. The successful applicant will be dependable, knowledgeable, have a sparkling clean and successful performance record, and possess the passion and adaptability to grow within a relatively young company with a start-up, fast-paced work environment. This position will require some overnight travel.

Job Description

Reporting to the CEO, the Senior Sales Executive is expected to qualify and contact prospective clients, up-sale to existing clients, and close business. The ideal candidate understands Internet technologies and has a successful, solutions sales background.

The majority of business will be conducted via email and phone. However on larger deals, there will be some travel involved. The Senior Sales Executive will be expected to converse with various groups within a prospective client, in particular the Marketing Group and the IT Group, and understand the needs of each.

    Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Exceeding monthly quota objectives through outbound sales activities
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients in person and via telephone calls and emails
  • Respond to incoming email and phone inquiries
  • Conduct product demonstrations to potential clients.
  • Create detailed proposal documents
  • Negotiate the terms of an agreement and close sales
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with members of the techincal and artistic teams
  • Represent the Company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations
  • Attend team meetings and sharing best practices with colleagues
  • Accurately forecast opportunities based on realistic assessments
  • Keep contemporaneous expense records

    Education and Experience

  • Requires a BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years experience selling software or other solutions based technology offerings.
  • Ability to analyze, assess and address prospects needs while clearly establishing the value of our products and services.
  • Demonstrated successful selling in a consultative/team environment and building new business within existing territory is essential.
  • Highly motivated and enthusiastic with strong written, verbal, presentational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, Go-to-Meeting, and PowerPoint software programs
  • Technical knowledge of Windows Server and Linux Servers a plus.
